Hey guys, I am interested in putting some money down for a Carbon Fiber Hood. I did a search on a couple of them, but it lead me to have a few questions. I was wondering where most of you ordered your CF Hoods. Like at MBautosports? Is the quality good in the sense that the latch isn't glued or that it fits perfectly as if it were stock? thanks

I no what you mean when thinking about a cf hood,i was doing the same thing,i was thinking about the mb cf hood because the price was right,I asked around about that hood and most people said it was ok,but something about the underside was not that great,so i did not take any chances...i went to fiber images cf hood which is the best out there...but costly

yeah. Everyone tells me about FiberImages, and how they're superior. I guess I can see that, but it is really expensive!!!! For that price, I could get a partial body kit...... Hmmmm. Hey LarryD, what do you recommend considering you had one?

i would recommend the fiber images carbon fiber hood all the way....and later maybe add the mbautosport.com's black or carbon fiber hood scoop!!!!

I did some research, asked around, etc. And, my feel, too, is the fiber images hood is the best. I also looked at RMM. RReddogg doesn't make them anymore. I'm going to order my hood tomorrow or friday from fiber images. Best price so far is $625.

you're just not going to be the fiber images quality. although, their prices are extremely high compared to others. reason being, if you've browsed their website www.fiberimages.com, then you will find videos of them thrashing their hood to prove its quality.

first video: guy gets up on a ladder and drops a wheel and tire onto the hood. bounces off with no scratches or dents.
second video: guy gets on the hood and hops up and down. no scratches or dents.
third video: finally after driving a car of it, there's a couple of scratches.

a lot of hoods tend to focus more on the outside appearance quality (i.e. the top of the hood) instead of it all around because that's what people would be most interested in. especially if you're just looking to lighten the over weight of the car. but if you're wanting to take this to shows also, then you definitely have to get the fiber images hood.
