Do Fiberimages CF Hood need hood pins?

Even if the pins are not needed i would put them on there anyway, you can never be too safe. heck they look good too.

umm my next question is, are all hood pins the same? I mean they vary in price quite alot, here in canada, the Sparco hood pins cost like about $50 dollars CDN and there are also some Mr. Gasket ones for like $20 bucks.... is there actually in difference between the two? are the 20 dollar ones gonna rust or break easily as compared to the 50 dollar sparco pins?

I ask because I usually follow the rule that "you get what you paid for" but not sure if its the same thing in this case...

except for the ones you stick on your your hood... those are fake...

make sure the ones you buy have a long threaded bolt thingie...

i honestly think with hood pins its all a name.. i mean all it is a friggin bolt :).. and I dont intend on doing it myself.. Im gonna see if a body shop will do mine

i just got some in the mail today... except they are not hood "pins" they are hood "locks". i hate hood pins so this was the best way to make them not stick out so much.. btw, they were like $22 shipped on ebay.

i went and picked up the box eariler... the damn guy sent me the wrong things :mad:

he sent me ****ing 6.99 autozone hood pins instead of hood locks that i won on ebay.... he got a real nice email from me...

not as scary as having a hood open up on the freeway IMO.

plus i drilled the holes into my $23,000 car for my spoiler myself.... so... $600? eh... no biggie in comparison
