I realize that the auto tranny radiator has an oil cooler built into the radiator for the tranny oil, but does the manual tranny radiator have this and not use this, or are there different radiators for both the manual and auto transmission?

On another note, assuming you could make an auto's radiator fit into a manual car (I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work), do you think it would be possible to somehow use the oil cooler to cool motor oil?

i wasnt aware manual trannys had oil coolers. i might be wrong but i am pretty sure that only auto trannies are prone to over heating.

i see why you would use a tranny cooler as a oil cooler, why not use a oil cooler? they are not very expensive.

I didn't say they did, I was just wondering if they had them and didn't use them or if they have a different radiator.

If it's already on the car then why not?

Besides, I'm not going to do this, I was just curious if it was feasible.

oh sorry i think i read your post too fast.

anyways unless your running on the track(road course) and spending a lot of time in lift theres no reason to run a oil cooler.

Only autos have tranny coolers since they're the only ones whose trannies circulate fluid. A cooler for a manual would need a pump in addition to the cooler. i see why you would use a tranny cooler as a oil cooler, why not use a oil cooler? they are not very expensive.
If it's already on the car then why not?The ports on the tranny cooler would most likely be too small for use with oil, and would restrict oil flow.
