Hey, this is awesome....i just ran into this guy in Richmond where everybody goes on Friday and Saturday night to show off all their POS cars (Some are ok) and this guy in a honda came up to me askin about my "gotl1ft" plates. He know it was the vvtl-i as soon as he read it and said he used to have an auto gts and how his uncle works at a toyota dealership. He also noted that there were parts of a Action Package lying on the floor cuz some girl scraped a little under it and wanted a new one on the car. Well he said if i wanted it i could have it - rear valence and new front...man i jumped on that like white on rice (haha) Check out my new *FREE* front end...havent had the chance to put the back on cuz it requires some drilling. Also hes going to sell me a set of TRD struts, springs and the rear sway bar for $120...which i dont think its a bad deal, eh?

Ya, especially since it was already painted the color of my car! The only thing about it though, does the kit have a different white foam piece that goes behind the bumper cuz i couldnt fit mine from the stock front behind the action front.

You mean to tell me that Toyota replaced this chick's front bumper for a little scratch on it?? Since when does that kind of crap warrant replacement when that bumper costs major $$$$ and most of us can't even get them to fix small mechanical problems on our cars that cost next to nothing sometimes. I hope she paid for that and not Toyota, surely that is the case.

HAHA ya i am so surprised this happened to me cause i usually get the sh*t end of the stick. But yes, there are some scratches on the bottom of the bumper and it has a very small crack under the lip where you really cant see but it isnt that bad at all. And the rear, only 1 scratch on the side where that is kinda ugly, but just needs to be painted. All in all, i found this guy out of sheer luck....actually he found me!

BUT i need to know...he has a TRD struts, springs, and the rear sway bar that he wants to sell to me for $120...you think thats an ok price?

:werd: Jump on that.

Nice hookup with the free parts, now you need to get a hold of the sideskirts and you're set.

The only free thing I ever got for my car was the keytechnique key hole covers ($12 value). Yeah baby! :chuckles:

How well would you rate the TRD springs in handling compared to other spring sets? I read on the install that the springs are made by eibach???

evil eye

Yup they are made by Eibach and are the equivalent to the pro-kit. I have the TRD springs on stock struts, and they never did me wrong.

So is there a difference in the TRD struts? Are they adjustable?

I forgot who makes the TRD struts, I think it's Koni, but I could be wrong. No, they're not adjustable. But the TRD spring/strut setup was made to work together. It won't be a harsh ride at all.

Thats cool....i kinda like my car to bump a little having that quick recoil to stay level...but not bouncing all over the road like my friends cars - haha. I just dont want my head to hit the ceiling on a hard bump on the highway doin like 70 ya know.

Yeah I wouldn't worry. I'm on stock struts with TRD springs for over 3 years now, and to this day it doesn't bounce around when I'm driving by myself. Only when I have a full load of 4 people does the car bounce, because the struts needed to be replaced 50k ago. :( Since you're getting TRD struts which are stronger than OEM, you'll be fine.

Im almost positive it is Tokico who makes the USDM TRD 'blue' struts.
