I saw one on a lot yesterday and am considering trading in the Celi for it. I still have to run the Vin so I can find out what is wrong with it that they are selling it so cheap for ($3800). Basically what I am wanting to know is it would be a good daily driver and be relatively reliable until I'm through with college. Just post up some thoughts on the car, negetive and positive alike.

i would hold on to the celica.buy the mr2 if you have extra cash
A) I would suggest a Mk I over a Mk II - they're way more fun.
B) It is NOT a practical daily driver.
C) Unless it was a turbo, that's not a good price.

Yes but a MKII looks much better then an MKI :)

Gotcha. I love the looks of all 3 gens... MkII has the most exotic styling from Toyota. And MkI does seem very tossable and it would be my favorite as well if not for its age. But my top pick would be the latest and greatest MkIII equipped w/ a 2zz and sport-tuned suspension.
fox2000gt-s, what color is that 1992? I'd get it if it's tubo'd and black..

It's a dark green and I don't know if it's turboed or not. I'll try to get a better look at it while I'm out tonight.
B) It is NOT a practical daily driver.
C) Unless it was a turbo, that's not a good price.
If you wouldn't mind, could you elaborate as to why it isn't a practical daily driver? Also, what would be a good price for either the Turbo or the non-turbo?

They are extremely cramped inside with no real trunk. T-tops can leak, and the suspension is firm with a short wheelbase.
