View Full Version : Valve cover still fit with bigger injectors ???

I have a CF IPT valve cover trim peice ,for my GTS (basically same as OEM black plastic one) . I was just wondering if it will fit after I put in larger feul injectors ??? I see alot of Turbo GTS's with no valve cover's I figured that is why . Also is a Feul rail like SF needed to run larger injectors ,because I know it wont fit wit that ???

no need to change the fuel rail, and by it being a larger injector in cc it does not actually mean that its larger in size

i have a sf rail and it fits with my ipt cover. but im a gt.

Yeah I dont think it fits on the GTS ,because the cover has the "flaps" over the top's of the runners .

no need to change the fuel rail, and by it being a larger injector in cc it does not actually mean that its larger in size


so the new ones will be OEM size then ,thats good .I was not sure If I needed a feul rail or not ,good to know I dont need one ....

The stock fuel rail is capable of flowing enough to exceed 400whp. The only reason to get the SF fuel rail would be for the "cool" factor. Afermarket injectors will be similar size to stock and they shouldn't make anything not fit that fit with the stock ones.

you could always use a small spacer underneath the cover to make it fit...if there is a need to do so ;)

I have Accel 504cc injectors on my car and the IPT cover fits just fine.

I also love the looks of Throttle's motor. I really want to add CF covers to my motor.

The only reason you see a lot of people exposing their valve covers is because they like to show of an aftermarket fuel rail. I personally like the plastic valve cover on over the metal valve cover.
