so i tried to lower my car today but after 1-1/2 of work trying to dis-assemble the driver side left suspension. we put it back together and decided it could wait for another time with when had more time. well after we put it back togehter and tightened everything back up i noticed this klunking when my driver side wheel bounces going over bumps and stuff.

any advice would be helpful.

what we disassembled.

- 3 screws that hold strut to the frame, in the engine bay.
- 2 big ass screws the hold the strut to the brake/hub assembly,
- couldnt get the camber link all the way off, the pivot joint so we just put it back but got the screw off.
- halfway unscrewed the endlink.

any help i would appreciate it.

i think im just gonna take it to a shop next weekend. and get it done im just trying to sto this noise right now.

did u try to unscrew the top nut that holds the strut together?? if u did... try checking to see if its tight.... if that is not it, check the endlink and make sure thats tight. use a allen wrench and a open ended 14mm. Might as well double check all ur bolts too if u end up taking the wheel off. But yeah.... be sure to check the top nut and the endlinks.

thanks for the reply, no we didnt undo the top nut. how tight is the endlink supposed to be the one with the pivot joint and the 14mm open and the allen? i tightened it pretty tight and i was worried its too tight.

it seems to only make the sound when the suspension extends.

i just tighten the endlink until the nut doesnt move anymore and i havent had any problems yet. thats weird.. just double check all ur bolts again and make sure everything is tight. what camber link are u talking about??

the silver rod that goes from the very tip end of the sway bar to the control arm, thats the camber link correct? and the end link is the small U shaped thing with bolts on either side way up in there.

the endlink is a rod about 10 inches long and connects the end of the sway bar to the shock body. im not sure what u shaped thing ur talking about.... are u talking about that mount that the brake line attaches to??
