The only reason I see wanting to do this is so you can run spacers. I THINK with the design of the stock lugs/wheels, you can saftley run up to a 5-8mm spacer, without new studs. In any case a OE Tundra stud runs $5.09 per a quote at my local Toyota parts dept. $5.09 * 20 = $101.80 + sales tax, depending on state. I ordered a set of TrackStore 63mm studs, shipped fromt he UK for ~$54 I believe it was. It depends on the exchange rate. I dont think you can use anything other than OE Toyota lugnuts on the OE wheels because of the style of lug seat it uses. I've never personally seen aftermarket open-ended lugnuts that will work with the OEM wheels.

You are pretty much screwed until you get all three of these: a set of aftermarket wheels + longer studs + longer or open-ended lugs. OR cut open the OEM lugs, which is GHETTO as hell, You'd need to get them re-chrome dipped or just paint them.

Thoe 5Zigen lugs are a total rip-off. You can get Rays Dura-Nuts for cheaper than that. http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=EM&Category_Code=L1

Wouldn't it be a hell of a lot easier to just get wheels that will work with teh current set-up??? Seems like an awful lot of trouble to me.

In the end wouldnt it be easier to just not do anything to your studs if the only reason you are doing this is to have extended studs? I dont see any logical reason you are doing this for. Save your $100 for the OE Tundra studs and buy the coilovers.

i was thinking about getting fender flares and i didnt want the rims to far tucked inside and might get some spacers for it..

I agree!!

All you have to do is get rims with the correct width and offset for that purpose then. You don't have to do a wheelstud conversion for that. What kind of flares are you getting? How much do they stick out??

does anybody know the stock stud length.i was searching for longer studs as well and found out skunk 2 makes them. but the part number was the same for all applcations they had.. on different sites as well, which leads me to believe that the honda studs arp sells should fit toyotas too.1.85 doesnt seem long enough but 2.85 i know is way to long. im only getting five turns on my lugs and i read it should be at least 6.

probably some generic ones from a guy in town or brs fender flares..i just dont have enough for rims right now...or even anytime soon.
