That seems a bit pricey. My 04 yamaha yzf r1(1000cc) was 10600 out the door.
Have you tried State Farm they have the best ins. prices on bikes..?

If you really paid 10200 for a GSX600 you got robbed.

Bike is nice though. BTW I have my insurance through State farm, its $18 a month. To be $5000 a year you must have a seriously damaged driving record! (Plus age makes a difference too, unfortunately).

move to florida. you only need bike insurance when you purchase. after that no insurance required and thats why i see so many jackasses in the hospital with road rash galore...

That is a HORRIBLE deal. I paid less then that OTD for my 04 gix brand new 8900 and thought I got a bad deal. Hate to break it to you, but your bike is not worth that much. Pretty soon 05's are going to be on sale as left overs so good luck. Too bad about the insurance.

Whoever told you that is lying to you. First off, you don't need insurance to buy a bike (I bought my first bike in sarasota FL) and second off, at the MSF program they specifically tell you that you need insurance. Which you do, in FL and everywhere else in the United States. Doesn't mean people don't drive illegally though :gap:

Also, I just sold my 04 Gix with mods and only 6k miles for 6500. Bikes are no different then cars, they lose value the second they leave the lot. I mean, its hard to sell a newer used bike when a person can go buy a brand new one for a few hundred more than you'd like to sell it. Good luck, I sold mine locally, so I don't know much about online sales.

In Florida, If you are financing your bike then you are required to have insurance. BUt if your bike is paid for in full, then insurance is not necessary. So when i buy my bike, it will be in cash.
