It is, for all intents and purposes, a simple ECU which increases hydraulic pressure, which will reduce the time between shifts, and because of the quicker engagement of the torque converter, it should reduce wear. The byproduct is a harsher engagement, so you do sacrifice some driveline smoothness.

I'll try and hook one up on an N/A Celica sometime to see what kind of difference it makes in 1/4 times....
