my alarm remote doest work in very hot weather. Its a basic factory equipped alarm (Clifford)....Anyone know whats wrong or is this something ill jus have to live with.... Thanks,

Do you have another remote? That way you can identify whether it is the remote or the receiver.
Quite possibly, you need to clean the contacts and rubber pads in the remote...
I had a device someone put some tape in... and in the heat the glue got all over the place.

i actually dont have another remote...how do i go about cleaning the contacts and rubber pads??
thanks
Open the case... separate into 2 halves... the side with the buttons on it.... opposite the buttons you will see something that looks like concentric circles on the circuit board opposite the black pads on the buttons. Clean off the concentric circles with a mildly abrasive cloth... cotton should do... use a pencil's eraser for stubborn stuff. Wipe off the black contact pads on the back of the buttons with cloth (those are conductive - so don't want to be too aggressive).
Button it back up..... ya might want to replace the battery if its been awhile & your going thru all the trouble.
