Ha! I was thinking about ordering a custom emblem that said evil eye and attaching it to the front or back of my car. Emeblems are the same style as the VW font and size.

I took the ferry to the CT meet. It could've been a good idea but it all went wrong. I didnt know I had to have a resevation so i had to wait like 1hr to get on the ferry. Also you do have have to go on this crazy steep ramp. Going up wasnt too bad but going down i defenelty scrapped bad. They do have a lower level that you just go straight into and i'm sure if you ask ahead of time they'll let you go in there. It just goes in order. Other than that the trip was fun.

Damn dude, what's your problem? I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is a job I did not want to take away from Manny, but someone had to fill the spot in his abscence. I've said since day one that I wouldn't be able to fill his shoes, but damn man, I'm trying to keep this forum alive. So, sue me if I want to organize a meet and hang out with some of these guys I like to call friends. But honestly, most of the people that didn't show up had their reasons for not showing. Not because they had an issue with me.

And it appears to me that any meet we have next year will contain even less Celica's than years past. I counted at least 6 people with the intention of selling the Celica this year. Chris, Chris, Jay, Mike, Mark, and Lou. Did I miss anyone? You guys suck, seriously. :( You better bring your new rides to a meet next year, at least once.

We were only short like $15, everyone threw in a few bucks no questions asked. Especially Bryan, who I think threw in too much. Damn Mark, sorry to hear that. And you better bring your ass to future meets. We never got a chance to bowl.

That was actually my first meet, I flew in from Miami (I did that for a few meets) and showed up with my daughter for that one....Actually I sat with Krysty and her man at the time. We also had to put in extra money

I agree that one poster's opinion should not be waited heavily especially when they appear to be way off the mark. To assume that further meets will suck is to assume that Manny is the only person capable of organizing a successful meet.

I wasnt here to know how things were in the NorthEast before Manny but I moved to NYC right before he was voted moderator and if memory serves me right Manny was in fact the brain child for : Dave Busters meet, Seaside, Back 2 Seaside, and the annual Jillians meet.
Other state forum threads do not have this going for them. Manny actually took charge of this forum and he didnt do it behind his computer. He took it further and organized meets which in effect kept poeple posting because they all had something to look forward to.
I am not an avid poster but I was here through it all sO I know what I am talking about.

I think Evil Eye is doin a job taking over and fillin the shoes of a guy who in my opinion went beyond his call of duty to help out his fellow NE members. - I hate to get all mushy and shiat but I met Manny back in 2003 after moving here to start schoolin at an ivy league institution. All I was buying from the guy was tail lights. With my limited knowledge of NYC, Manny turned what was just a $40 sale into something more. He took a full day out of his own time to show me around NYC; Toured me around Columbia and introduced me to his friends who were also students there; He educated me on the public transportation system here and even lent me a $20 metrocard lol which I never repayed. I dont think I've ever met anyone quite like the guy who would actually take his meetings with his forum members to a further step and help them out if needed.
I was a regular poster at ecelica.com but relied on nc.org for the more intricate information about my car. For all it was worth, I could always count on Manny to invite me to a meet or drop a reminder when it was 3 days to the meet. He went beyond the call of duty in my opinion and that he was dismissed the way he was without so much an uproar from the guys who he did this for was rather appalling.

A frustrated poster venting is one thing but I must say that I too initially felt the same way. It looked more like alot of guys were trying to protect their post count by not speaking up and saving Manny from being banned. If you guys actually read the threads that supposedly caused his ban, you would realize that he posted in OT and supposedly what happens in OT stays in OT - so why was be stripped of his moderator position. To top it off, another member trying to usurp this moderator position started a thread which Manny replied to in order to clear the air and he was thereby banned for it?.. all that and not a soul cried foul.

Sigh, we have a moderators forum. A lot of things get discussed there behind the scenes, that you guys cannot see. I did not ride the fence, whatever that means. I stuck up for Manny, I considered him a friend for chrissake. I've known him since I first got to these boards years ago. I saw why he lost his moderating position, and saw their point, but I was against the ban and stated that I was. But my opinion didn't matter to them. Don't believe me? Fine. Still think I'm shady? Personally Joe is a great mod and it was Manny's idea for Joe to be the next Moderator. Yes Manny is a great guy and always will be. When we picked up the Sports lid from him (me and the wife) He wanted us to stay and hang out for a while and just talk about celica's but we were busy. And personally to say Joe rode the fence is just plain incorrect and well stupid. Manny came into NE saying the next mod should be joe and why he should be. So i dont think there is no bad blood but i believe some poster's think that all these Meets are gonna be ****ty now because Manny is not here to organize them and i think that to be pure ****. Backing up your boy is one thing. Insulting my boy is another. Manny was ok as a mod. I didn't know him that well and he didn't seem very interested in knowing me so that's the way I left it. Manny's moderator-ship was taken because of the thread in OT. He was banned for comments he made in this forum about Chiggy. Just wanted to clear that up...

Actually, people get banned in OT all the time. Main reasons are for racist comments and personal threats. Do I agree with Manny getting banned? Hell no, but it doesn't mean this forum has to die...

The meet turned out well and I met a lot of great people. The Supra owner came with 3 good looking girls, but unfortunately I had to leave early because of the rain. It's a good thing I made it home before the rain came down, because I don't have any wipers on my RX-7:burnout:

As for the bill, my brother and I only ordered wings and water, which cost $7. I put in $10 and I'm pretty sure the waitress fuc!ed-up the bill when we moved.
