View Full Version : Help on New Front Bumper

Well here's the thing...I recently got in a Car accident. My insurence said they would pay for the damages because the accident wasnt my fault.

My car is a 2003 Toyota Celica Gt-s w/ Action package. Here's the parts that are damaged:
Hood (needs replacement)
Driver side Fender (just scratched)
Front Bumper (Needs Replacement)
Light (minor scratches)

Now...I got a quote from toyota for the hood/front bumper and here's what they told me:
Hood - $425
Front bumper -$1,200
(that's unpainted)

Total Price to fix...aprox $2,000

What if I didnt want to get the same hood/front bumper. If I wanted a different hood/front bumper which ones should I get?

I was thinking maybe a Carbon fiber hood (but which hood?)
Also...I was thinking of saving some $ and going with the Stock OEM w/o Action package Front bumper, and putting a lip under it.

What I'd really like is some input on which parts to buy. What would look good with the Action package body kit on a Black 2003 toyota celica gt-s?

Please list part name, price range, and a pic or link if possible. THX GUYS!!!

get an oem front bumper and pair that with a Seibon CF lip and hood...

Not too mention paint, insurance better give you like 3500$. Then you go shopping. OEM bumper with seibon lip for like 700$, nice OEM style CF hood for 500$. Maybe go rim shopping as well

Good input so far.

Well...I went down to some local performance shops...I was quoted 390 for an OEM carbon Fiber hood, and 290 for a "look a like" Poly eurathane Front bumper (looks exactly like the trd action package one) and they wanna charge 150 for painting the bumper, which i find to be resonable...but what do I know...What should I do?

Go with the 03+ oem front and a C-one lip. That would look hot with the rest of the action package components. Then go for an oem cf hood with raised scoop :drool:

the seibon cf lip is for the 00-02 celi



dude a c-one front lip with a stock 03 front bumper + the rest of the action package is probably one of the nicest combo's out there

I am really liking that lip+oem bumper, Any clue how much it'll run to get 1?

I got a place that'll give me a look-a-like bumper (looks like the trd action package one) for 390. It's made outa poly eurathane as well...unlike the trd bump which is abs plastic or some sheet.

I think ima go that route and buy an OEM CF hood (possibly with raised scoop). I'll post pics in a few days once it's all done.
