I was taking the paint all the way down and came across the blue putty around the gas door i started seeing it it ran all around the drivers side was this a defect of the 2000 celicas GT-S? The putty was over top of the metal and the metal when i got down to it looks like it was wizzed. Im guessing it was in an accident but I took all the putty off and there was no sides of like accident like not weilds or anything. I will post pics of the car primer later before it comes in the paint shop to be painted right before the dnb meet on the 20th.

Why were you taking it down to metal to begin with? The car was probably in a wreck before and they used bondo to fix dents. Lazy body men just fill dents with bondo and that's why there are no signs of welding or fixing the dents....they didn't fix them they just filled them with bondo.

To be honest with you man, they were probaby the ones that did it. Dealerships are shady as hell.

What exactly does a certified car mean? Where you guarenteed that it wasn't in any wrecks? If not then you can't complain because most used cars have been in an accident and there are more crapy bodymen out there than good ones. It is up to you to spot the tell-tale signs that a car has been in a wreck...ie: "cancer spots" on the car.

Toyota certified doesn't included "accident free or clean carfax"
If they said this car hasn't been in accident when they sold you the car, then they are in trouble....
