The term "rice" has become so trite that it really has lost its original meaning. You do realize that we all drive rice burners.

rice burners...derogatory term aimed at the fact that our cars are Japanese. Originally coined by the domestic V8 crowd probably when the import scene was first coming up.

Also applied to sportbikes i.e honda, suzuki, kawasaki, yamaha

Rice = Altezzas, neons, huge ass wings/spoilers, stupid huge stickers, glow in the dark anything, huge useless tachs, many bodykits, farty exhausts, etc...

the term "rice rockets" or "rice burners" originally came from bikers a long time ago, it was their term to describe all the japanese motorcycles.. honda, kawasaki, yamaha...rice because japanese people are known for eating rice, so it was to poke fun at them. nowadays any domestic enthusiast will consider all imports rice, and import entusiasts consider cars ricey when they are all the reasons as stated above.
