ok, so i have a friend who works at pep boys and he checked out my alighment for free. He said it was say off and he tried to correct it as much as possible, but he could only fix the toe and not the camber. He says i need camber bolts... I am going to buy springs and struts here soon, but will i still need camber bolts or should i wait and get an alighment with the new springs and struts first??

I'd just wait til you put the new springs/struts on. Unless it's going to be months before you get them. Just be careful who you get the camber bolts from. I got some from Eibach and they said they were for front or rear but they are only good for the front. They adjusted my rear as good as they could, but the left side is still off, we just couldn't get the left rear to come close to specs.

those are your only mods in your sig, and your tech couldn't adjust camber to spec?

Hey Kristin,
For anything past a drop of about 2.0", I've heard that the Hotchkis rear camber links are what you need to set rear camber to spec.
Rear camber could not be adjusted to spec with my sportlines alone. I took them off regardless for shock life issues.

Hotchkis camber links-rear
Hotchkis camber plates with strut bar-front. (I have one for sale, PM me if interested)

If you don't want to get Hotchkis strut bar and camber plates for front, you can get a camber bolt from toyota....it's like $5 or less of the part. It's a different length bolt that allows for more adjustment. We had to do that for my fiance's car. Hotchkis camber links will take care of your rear adjustment.

ok but what should i do though, if i get new springs and struts shoudl i have it set to factory camber, -1.3 in rear and i dont remeber the front, or should i have it all corrected to 0. It will handle better with factory settings wont it since toyota did it for that reason.

I would have it set to factory specs....that is where mine are set. The reason to get camber links and front camber bolts is to allow adjustment back to factory specs if your drop is too big for factory pieces to handle.
Only reason to choose NOT to adjust back to factory specs is if you want better traction when auto crossing. I would only do this if I autocrossed all the time. If you don't get back to factory specs you'll have to deal with premature uneven tire wear.

should i have Toyota do it, or an alighment shop

I use toyota even though they are probably more expensive. I have a dealership here in Houston that knows me and (more importantly) I trust.
Any Toyota dealership could probably do it, but you might check and see if anyone has experience working on lowered cars.
