hey guys

i plan on buying the wings west front lip soon and i dont have a hot clue how to install it!

can you guys please explain to me in detail how to install it? i really need help!! can me and my buddy's install it ourselves? or does a professional have to install it?

what is needed for the install? do all the materials and parts needed for install already come with the packaging from Wings West?

also, once i install it and say three years down the road i wanna take it off, how do i take it off and will it damage my paint?

thanks
anthony

i just got my kit today and did a test fit on it, it's pretty straight forward when you look at it. just slip it on and the part near the wheel well will fit snug around the front bumper. the lip is held in place by doulble sided tape, don't worry, the tape is stong as hell! and inside the wheel well you just add some screws to hold it in place. it's a very simple install, but do get a friend to help you.

to screw it in from inside the wheel wells, do i have to drill my own holes?

any more help is appreciated

its really easy. should come with instructions. i mean, there's nothing to it... you clean the car real good, supposed to use turpentine i believe and then use 3m tape primer. i didn't use it though. couldn't find it. just peel of the tape backs and put it on. then turn the steering wheel to one side to get in the wheel well good, and drill two holes in the kit so that they also puncture the car. and screw em in.

Yo Mendez! You do realize this thread is from 2002, right? Though I respect the fact that you searched for topics to help, you aren't going to get help from any of the guys who posted above. :chuckles:

For the sideskirts, you've got to remove the stock sides. It's pretty easy to remove. Underneath are some plastic clips and a few bolts - pretty straight forward. Just look at the stock sides. After that gently pull it downwards and away from the car, it'll pop right off.

Open the door and mount the WW sides on. It's more easier if you have someone helping you. Adjust the fitment of the sides to where you deem it perfect.

What would be the correct form of grammar in that case? :AF: "More easy?" "Easier?"

Either would work. More easier doesn't work though. Lol.

I'll write that down.

BUMPING AN OLD THREAD!! found this when searching and didnt really get an answering i was looking for... so the part that attaches to the side of the bumper, (where the screws are), are we suppose to push it up then bolt it on? or does it follow the line of the stock front lip?

make sure the lip is on. then where the wheel well is, push that end of the lip all the way up until there is no more gap. drill and use a screw there. you shouldn't follow the line of the stock front lip. you would have a huge gap there.
