i want to have one switch that will kill my DRL/auto-on headlights/liscense plate light/brake lights. then i can kill ALL my lights and just turn on my headlights manually (but no tail/brake lights). my question is does anyone know a way to keep the headlights on but kill the tailights?
also, if i switch the ECU wire that CloneGTS discusses in his "disable DRL/auto-on headlights", will it work?
one more, if i find the wire that the brake is connected to, the wire that my tailights are connected to, my liscense plate lights, and my auto on headlamps, can i just wire all those to ONE switch or is that not feasable?
its kinda confusing but you prb get the general "Blackout" idea
thx

Everything is possible with enough time and $. I think it would be confusing to have so many things switched and forget that your lights weren't on and get a ticket.
A long time ago there was discussion about switching the DRL wire. If I remember correctly: With it in the ON position you start the car and everything works as normal. With the car running you switch it OFF and the auto on and DRL are disabled. With the car running you then switch it back ON and the auto on doesn't come back on but the DRL's do. To get the auto on functioning again you have to shut the car off and start it back up with the switch in the ON position.
Somebody else who remembers correct me.
Iceit69- try and PM Clone, I think he did this.

Youll need relays. Its not hard to do it, just some know how.
One switch (main switch that will kill all the tailights) connected to the power of relay. Relay's connect to the lights(you'll need one for each light depending on the relay you get).
Viola, turn off all lights, cops cant see your license plate.
You can even make your tailights look like the cops "blue light special". Flashing on and off. I did this to my car, off course for show purposes only.
Come here to chicago on HIN, ill do it for you.
