Ok - it was CLEARLY my fault , i was turning right at a stoplight and there was a car in front of me. So I look to the left for traffic, wondering when the car in front was going to turn and there was a long break in the cars. So, i saw the car moving up and figured that it was going to go since it had been stopped, and i look to the left again while moving up and WHAM! right into the back of the car. I was like, wtf, i thought they had already turned. So anyway, i went to pull into the gas station which was immediatly the next right, and that car just kept goin down the street. So i pulled out the gas station, and there she was, crying her eyeballs out. I felt really bad. So, I pulled around her (Which like an idiot she was stopped in the merging lane which got onto rt.288S) and i went to get out my car, and she just FLOORS it around me and runs. Im like, wtf, literally what the fvck? and she just kept going and wouldnt stop. What am i supposed to do. I really didnt hit her that hard, just enough to scare her and knock her bumper off track on the driver side, but what the hell. Im thinkin maybe she didnt have the car insured??
Sucks. Get the plate? It actually saves you from an insurance claim from her.
I've come close to doing the same thing at the bottom of a right turn only off ramp near me. Never expect people to do what you would do and always look back to the front & then quick glance back left as you move. I always check now.... and haven't had any near misses in quite awhile. Amazing how many people just stop... when there's plenty o' room.

Most likely she didn't have ins or if she was a youngin she was scared and left. What's the damage on your car look like? I'm sure your ins will be happy, haha...

naw, she looked older...i would say late 30's. Im just not going to report it to insurance. I just need a new pass. headlight since the brackets are broke, and a new fender...which im picking up some z3's tonight. I bent the fender back most of the way, and it really doesnt look messed up at first glance, and the headlight i straightened last night. Im just worried about the hood, but it didnt have any scratches from the headlight and it still looks aligned...ill find out once i put the z3's on....

you are lucky then you dont have to go throught the paperwork and raised insurance. i would of let her run and not think twice. better for you especially since it was your fault!!!

plus you didnt get a ticket which you would have gotten when you called the police to report the accident if she had stopped

ya, that is what i was most worried about. I really dont need another moving violation on my record...one getting dismissed thankfully due to driving school is enough...

i would say if my hood was damaged, i would have reported that to the insurance company, but since it still is straight, i wont...no cf hood today

Ha, what a dumbass. Her, not you.
I actually did the same thing when I was 16 in my old Accord. I assumed the car turned and hit the back of it, but luckily I saw her in time and hit the brakes. It was a truck and I hit the tow hook but it just scuffed the top of my bumper.
