My decal kit should be in the mail within the next couple of days so i'll be installing them myself this weekend.
Some people say soap n' water... some people say just water and others say nothing at all. Hmm?? Anybody here know, or have done this process themselves? My decals are 14" x 98" so they are pretty big.
Any installation tips are appreciated! THANKS IN ADVANCE! :)

The advice I got from the guy that sold me all our club decals was to use soapy water. You just put a small amount of soap in a spray bottle and fill it with water. Pull the backing off of the decal and spray the underside until it is all slightly wet. Put the decal where you want it smoth it out and use a credit card or something to squeegie the water out from under the sticker. It is best to let it sit in the sun for an hour or so to make sure all the water evaporates and it sticks properly. Hope this helps.

yeah as cbr600drm said......... but one thing... try to use a rubber pad instead of the credit card...... it won't scratch the vinyl ;) what i use and i find the best its a rubber pad i use to tint windows ;)

graphix came out to $97 shipped (14 x 98). I found others that were pretty similar and were a little cheaper but the quality looked poor and I was not very impressed with the customer service they provided.
I was gonna wait, and order from Modern Image... but since i'm wanting a CF Hood really bad, real soon.. i had to go with these. They seem to be good decals and should look pretty good on my car. :)
cbr600drm... QUESTION!
you say to spray the inner "sticky" part of the decal? I've heard of spraying the car (area where decal will be applied)... what works better IYO??
Thanks again for all your help! :)

ummm ...i know the question is for cbr600drm..but imma answer anyways.... DOES IT MATTER? if you spray on the sticker, or on the car..both will touch the soapy water anyways...so spray on anything..that's my theory..

hey thanks for your help. got one more question....
how much water/soap spray is enough? Do I spray lightly or do I soak it completely?
I'm sorry if these questions sound newbie... but i dont really feel like having a $100 sticker go to waste! :)

lightly...it will slide around well if you spray lightly...too much water/soap is going to take longer to dry and you're going to be sick and tired of waiting for it to dry....also, put A LITTLE BIT SOAP...not too much....if you're doing the side of the car...spray the car first....that's wat i'd do..so you can wipe the car if you have sprayed too much. get it? i'm going to lunch so i can't answer any more questions...maybe later...g'luck

i spray the car and the sticky side of the decal just a nice mist to coat both sides .. use a full bottle of water and add about 2-3 drops of water then spray it on your fingers and see if it feels alittle slipery .. i apply graphix for a living...
