I plan on getting a set of 18" wheels (haven't decided on brand/type yet) and was wondering what size tire would be best? I would like to get something that I don't have to get the car re-aligned if possible, because in the winter months I plan on putting the stock 16's back on. Thanks to all for your input.

I think 225/35 is the popular choice--practically identical to stock circumference.
However, you don't need to worry about variation in circumference with respect to aligning the car.
225/40/18 will also work, keep in mind wheel width, are you going 18x7, 18x7.5, or 18 x 8. I'm going 18x7.5 w/ 225/40/18. There are tire calculators on this site. I like the 225/35/18 but I don't think too many co. make them.

225/40/18 is what i'm running... i think it's the best size...
35 series make your rims look bigger, but 40's will give you more protection

what about 215/35/18?

too small.... smaller than stock plus it won't give your rim any protection...... at all

I just went to a tire dealer and they said as long as I keep the same overall circumference I won't have to get any sort of "special alignment". I'm thinking about the 225/35. Seems like a whole lot of people are running that size.

Even if you don't keep the same overall circumference, you don't need a "special alignment." The angles are all going to stay the same.
