you can probably dl the pdf from alpine's site

you need to select which equalizer setting you want: parametric vs. graphic (I think I got those terms right) - you do that by pressing menu, then going to audio

to fiddle with the setting press and hold the menu button and then scroll to the equalizer setting

you really need the book to operate this HU - there are so many different settings to play with

yea i was kinda playing with it again last night. i actually found the manual and it says to go to the setup, eq, pick between the two and than just hold down band to change it. but it didnt give me no additional screen. maybe i skipped a step?

in the easy menu ( you find by pressing menu) that will allow you to select between the two eq. styles

then you have to exit out of there, and then press and hold menu to get to the pro menu settings, then find eq. and you can set your eq. there

It's easier to do it here: http://www.alpine.com/e/i-personalize/index.html

Click on the appropriate links, you can do the the set ups: X-over, P-EQ, time delay, etc. Burn the info on a CD-R and download into the 9855.

You can select it to the other setting bsides the parametric EQ. The other is basically just a bar EQ. The bars on the left is bass, the center is the mids, and the ones on the right is treble.
