if you can help us locate a spare head and cams, that will give us a better idea of what we need to do for the celica.

Unity,
They sent me a similar email. CAN ANYONE HELP OUT WITH THIS? Here's the email:
we are coming out with an exhaust and coilovers for the car. i do not know if
we will be able to get to engine development in the near future. if you can
get us a set of cams and a spare cylinder head, we can take a closer look at
what it is going to take to make the stuff.

Heck...
I would give them my car for research if they promise to fix or replace anything they break during the process and if they will give me a decent loaner.

I went to their shop to have my ECU installed and programmed I and asked them if they have some more projects to our car, and the manager and some engineer told me that they are making a modified racing ECU and a modified pistons. But I don't believe it because they don't have any Celica's in there shop and I am thinking that this is only a BS words from them, you know, like some other aftermarket dealers out there. They will promise you that there will be some project and you keep on waiting for days, weeks, months and even years and still nothing. I would believe it if they have a prototype for it or just flat out show it infront of you. So, one word of advice, "Don't trust nobody until they show a sign of proof!"
I also discovered that they have alot of ITR's and GSR's in the shop and there where 3 RSX-S. I wouldn't even have them touch my Celi if most of there cars in there shop are Acura's, they might do something to our engine and have this Acura's smoking us out.<IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm10.gif" border=0>

i don't understand these aftermarket companies?! Do they operate out of porta-potties? They always want us to send them parts. Y would they not want to spend a couple thousand now so that they can develope parts and make 10s of (maybe hundreds) thousands later.

Dawg, I agree with you 100%, These aftermarket companies are companies that should be doing research with their own parts supplied by themseleves, I dont understand why they would need the comsumer to supply parts so they can make new parts for the consumer to buy. Just something to think about. This company seems to me not to be that reliable if they need us to donate parts for them to get an idea on how to make new parts. Kinda sounds a little funny to me. Anyways later

I can't give you reasons to why the companies need the cars, but I just know they are requesting them to take a look so if I can have someone who can spare their car for a little bit for the research, that would be more than great.
I assure you the products that they will make for the car will be pretty good. Their cams right now are the talk of the town.
So if anyone can spare a head and some cams, shoot them an email.

I won't even dare give any part of my Celi. Yeah, they installed my SAFC and reprogrammed it but like a day or two after the installation of my SAFC, I got a CEL. I even called them and asked if they could fix it but the fool told me that it will cost me to have my CEL and my SAFC reprogrammed. :pissed
Yeah, I'll have them do a project on my car, "Thats if" they could let me drive that Supra or that RSX-S in their shop as my back up ride while they are doing some project on my car.
But 4 now, don't even trust those sucka and SCREW THEM:mad:

If your Celica is your ONLY ride and you can't spare the parts, then don't worry about it. However, for peeps with blown engines or extra parts, it would help a great deal if you could work with Skunk2 to prototype parts. Can anyone help out?

That guy Dave Ngyuen from Skunk doesn't have a lot of experience for the SAFC, but does have tons of experience of other things. He built soooo many 12sec street driven hondas. There are two people who are being used as prototypes for products such as TriPPiN for the exhaust and Velocity Weapon for his Coilovers (He wants something better his GC's). I won't send my cams to send, since I'm planning to send them to Crower, BUT I have an extra Intake Manifold they can work on.
As for Dave, hes a GREAT tuner. Bay area peeps see his product around, if a car says DnR on it, it's him who worked on it.
