This is an automatic GT-S. I have 65k miles on the car now. This is the first time this happened. This happened yesterday:

I had driven around for about 20 mins, somewhat hard, but not too rough. Hit lift a few times. Parked the car at the mall for about 15 mins. Came back out and started up the car.
With the car still in park, e-brake still up, the engine was making a wierd noise. Something i never heard before at idle.
Basically the car was reving, over and over again to about 2500 rpms. It would drop back to 1000, then rev up again. It repeated this over and over again, once every second. I thought it was odd. I shut the car off. Started it up again, same problem.

I decided to just drive it off, see if it would remedy. I drove out and while standing at the traffic light, foot on the break, the reving continued. It was certainly wierd to have the car reving with my foot on the break. I took my foot of the break, even before i pressed the gas and car lurched forward as if I'd pressed the gas. It would drive on its own at about 2500 rpms. Not very fast, probably around 10-15 mph. It was way wierd, much faster than normal pull speed that the auto normally rolls at.

Anyways, after about 5 more mins, came to another light. Problem had gone away completely. I haven't had it since, but still very strange. Car does need an oil change, so that might be it. Took car out today, everything is still fine.
