I'm in the process of installing a new car alarm and to be honest it's kicking my ass. I need to know what wire to use for the starter kill/engine kill relay and also how does that work without the key in the "on" position? I also can't seem to get the thing to sense that the door is closed. Anyone with experience in this area please help!

Starter Kill... I'd have to do the lookups on... but you can find the schematic here:http://www.radphys.com/WIRING_DIAGRAM_FULL.pdf
Looks to be a Black w/White tracer wire.

The door closing is usually done with the Courtesy switches... which switch to ground when opened, unless your going lazy ass & using the dome light. If so, you have to wait for the dome light to go out before arming.

first i tried using it on the wire directly at the door pin located under the seatbelt and that didn't work so i tried at a wire in the driver kick panel and that didn't work so i tried the dome light last...still doesn't work. might be a problem with the alarm i guess...

how does the remote start get power to the engine when the key is out of the ignition? like when i have the key out i can get the engine to crank but it won't turn over until i turn the key to "on"...

For doors use the wire about the driver kick panel, remote start get power from a constant power wire under the steering column where pretty much all the wires u need are located. Also most alarms u can program a domelight delay. For remote start make sure u isolate the 1st ignition wire, and igntion 2 from the alarm goes to ignition 1 of the car and ignition 1 from alarm to ignition 2 of the car. Kind of confusing to explain. I installed an autopage RS855LCD, took me 2 weekends as my car is a daily driver and I soldered all connections.

i used the 12voltresource.com cd-rom as a guide for what wires to use for the ignition wires and like i said it cranks and everything and even starts up when i have the key to "on" but how is it supposed to turn over with the key out? i don't have the starter killer relay installed yet so i'm sure that has something to do with it but i don't know what wire to put that on is the problem. it says to cut the power source to the distributor which we obviously don't have so i'm lost now. i understand how you put one wire from the relay on one side of this power source wire and the other on the other end and when the relay is activated, the relay cuts power to what should be the distributor. but really what i'm curious about is how the hell is the car supposed to turn the engine over with the key out of the "on" position. on the schematic it looks like two of the relay wires connect to one side and one is labeled "key 'on' signal" on the schematic so maybe that's how? and when the brain grounds the other wire is when that "on" signal flows through the relay instead of to the engine which in turn cuts the power circuit that the relay is on....if any of that makes sense. however i can test this theory on my own and i can even do without the **** knowing whether the door is open or not for now...but basically what i really NEED to know is just what wire is comprable in our car to the distributor power wire in other cars?

thanks to all who have helped and given their 2 cents so far by the way in and out of this thread...

The Black w/Orange tracer from the IGN switch controls the relay which controls DC to the coil packs.
