You are brave young Grass hopper!, I remember watching Nick do mine, It took forever and he had an airgun witch made it alot eaiser and BTW if you do do it you have to disconnect the right rear Sway bar in order to get the strut off. It sucked. Good Luck

It really is SUPER easy to do... just time consuming.

In case jamie ends up helping here are some tips (that we didn't do on his):

1) Jack the entire front first, then chuck the front tires and do the rears at the same time. Doing this you won't have to fight the sway bars. We jacked one side at a time and had to use another jack on the suspension to get the sways out.

2) The bottom bolt in the rear is a pain in the nuts... Make SURE you have a breaker bar with an IMPACT extension (5") and an IMPACT socket (19mm I think). Oh... and all 1/2", we broke my 3/8" reducer (Craftsman =)

3) In the rear; Unbolt the upper control arm, unbolt the sway, Unbolt the strut assembly. Now the hub will swing forward/down, have someone stand on it so you can remove it towards you (away from the car) It looks like it'll come out the bottom... it won't!!

If I can think of anything else I'll post it up =)

This is really a simple job, just make sure you have torque specs and double-check everything.

Well if you wanna help me please give me a call i would totally appriciate it. I have 100 bucks on the way cause i just sold my Minidisk. But i would still need 25. Well you wanna help me? Pretty busy this weekend... If everyone decides to do their calipers on sunday I can probably help you then, I'll be gone all day tomorrow though...

Sunday I was going to start tearing the eclipse apart again... got my die grinder in for some manifold porting =)

Hey guys.
I'd love to help except for two things. I have to work all day tomorrow and Sunday is my only day off from both jobs this week. Speaking of which, have you applied at Home Depot? It's a good company that pays pretty good. They are always hiring. The other thing is that it was Blake's knowledge that got my springs done, not mine. I just helped him so I don't think that I could do it by myself. It really isn't that bad though. If you could wait for Blake to have a free day (assuming he wants to), it would be worth the wait for the money you'd save. And BTW, you'll need to take it to Butler Tire here in Marietta to get it aligned. They specialize in lowered suspensions. Toyota wouldn't touch mine and neither would Firestone. I'll get you the number if you need it.

Haha, Yeah I still need to go back to butler tire my Dumb Ass got the new rims wanted an alignment immediatly and one but butler would touch it, then 2 weeks after the rims I dropped my car now I need another but insufficent funds :(

man I've done a ton of installs.. 2 Tein coilovers and 1 TRD Springs... they are easy if you know what you're doing. Unfortunately for the next few weeks I have no time whatsoever. Finals are over may 3rd then I'm off to Florida for a week.. after that if they still aren't in I can probably help ya.. thats awhile away though...
