I painted the inside of my headlights over the weekend and I noticed today certain areas look more glossy than other (got a little trigger happy) What can I do to fix this with having to redo the whole thing...?

Maybe it's the angle you are looking at it from?

Sounds like you left the spray can in one place too long and/or were too close to the area you were painting. I don't think there is a way to fix this other than trying to wet sand very lightly, possibly dulling down the glossy areas. Thats all I can come up with.

your going to have to open them up and basically redo them. you should wet sand with 400 grit untill it is all dull just make sure you dont sand too much and go thru the color. then clean it and shoot it with light coats of clear. sanding between each coat with a finer grit each time. its the same method as painting your center console. search for that or look at the how to guides on headlight painting. if you want a glossy finish do what i just said. if you want a flat finish you should have used a flat paint to begin with.
good luck and next time hold the rattle can farther away from what your painting.

I painted my headlights two weeks ago, turned out perfect, I used Duplicolor high temp engine enamal (low gloss black), cuz the headlight housing does get pretty hot on the inside when the lights are on for a period of time, I didnt clear, just sand, primer and paint, they I used silicone sealer to seal em back up, the original epoxy will reglue itself after its been baking in the sun for awhile, but you shouldnt have any problems with fog if you do it right, mine never fogged and no condensation
