replacement remote- can't program

I recently got a replacement remote for my 2000 celica FCC #"GQ43VT14T".
I attempted to follow the guide on this site and I can get as far as making the car "cycle" the lock one time for "add".. But I can't do anything after that.. It won't even do the two cycle for not accepting the remote.. Any suggestions?

If, you had an original.... and it had an LED... you probably want the other one.
