Just Saw Blitz Superchared Celica

Hey wassup guys, I was helping set up for International Auto Salon in Long Beach, and I just saw a red Celica w/ the blitz supercharger kit on it. NO BS! The Red Celica has no kit, but has 18" rims and a few gauges on it's pillar. He only had his hood popped open for a few minutes, and I saw what resembled the pics that have been circulating in the FI forum, and of course I saw the huge blitz front mount intercooler. Some asian guy with a blonde chick was driving it. I'll take some pics tomorrow when I go back!!!!!

Think about this. Bryan H was hitting low 13's with a 50 shot, hot air intake and custom exhaust. He had traction problem during the entire 1/4. With a LSD the car should easily get these numbers if not better. With a built engine we can up the boost and easily pull 12's. That is a very reachable goal and what I'm shooting for. If I can pull 12's and have the car pull in 6th more and put the needle past the 160 mph mission will be accomplished. The Celica is not a drag car and I don't want the hassle of a turbo. I'm a road racer and S/C will do that duty quite well. The Celica does like to get on the highway and pull some mad top end. I have pulled the car to 156mph INDICATED. I have since put on some lightweight wheels, S-AFC and RSM. I know I can hit 160 INDICATED with my set-up in the right weather. Anyways I'm building the motor and only need the Blitz and Power FC. Sorry so long. Just get antzy!!!

That pic has been around for a while. I believe the story behind it is that the car is in 6th, going down a very long (several miles) downhill section of freeway late at night.

Racinjason, I went out one morning on a stretch of highway where people are none to open there cars or bikes up. This section of road is about 2 miles long flat and barriers on both sides to keep cops out. I unbolted the exhaust and went for it. The conditions outside were perfect. At the end I was at 155 to 156 INDICATED but pulled out when the road opened up. As you know an open exhaust will help you on top end considerably. Remember I said INDICATED INDICATED INDICATED but the last time I was on dyno my speedometer was only off by 5.??%. I just put in my RSM a few days ago so I will be going out to see what I can really get the car to do.
