broken kyb agx shock?

i installed them in june, and my driver side rear shock has a problem. the knob DOESN'T need to be pushed down to change the settings. the whole shaft freely spins, and it doesn't really 'click' into place like it should. the other rear shock is fine though. has anyone ever heard of this or had it happen? i contacted titan motorsports, and it looks like i'll have to buy a new one, have them send the broke 1 to KYB, and then reimburse me after they see it.
i haven't slammed it, and i have tein htechs (.75" drop) so i'm alright there. i'm just scared that it might be my fault somehow (maybe bad insallation :scared: ), and i'll have to pay 4 another 1.

Did it ever get turned without pushing it down prior to installation? Like you couldn't wait to see how they worked, spun it, then read the directions saying "push and turn". That's about all I could think of. I know mine are a pain to change settings on in the rears, so maybe it didn't get pushed down all the way, and messed it up.

no i always pushed it down, but it seemed loose last time i went to change it, and that's when i found out it doesn't need to be pushed in
