dave baker, I think that you heard some incorrect information. I currently have my manifold off my car because I am polishing the aluminum, and the walls of the manifold are not thin at all. It will be plenty strong enough for you to drill holes in.

I am a nitrous newbie, but I always thought that you mounted the nitrous jet in the intake pipe that the air filter is attached to, not the intake manifold.

you mount it on the intake tract if its a single nozzle kit, but on direct port nitrous there are 4 nozzles, one for each intake runner.. its a lot safer..

are direct port kits universal, your do you need to buy them specifically for your car?

what kind of kit do you have?

if you just have a single nozzle, then it usually sits loose because the stock plastic intake, but if you have direct port JBweld works well..

I think you mean Iridium.

If you have a GT then you want Denso Iridium Power IK20's (or IK18 if you can find them)

If you have a GT-S then you want Denso Iridium Power IK22's.

They aren't cheap - but they last, and they have a melting point SIGNIFICANTLY higher than the stock plugs (by about 1200°f.)

Denso recommends:

IK20 (Stock replacement) - Gap 0.044
IK22 (Stock -2 colder) - Gap 0.032

These are "Denso" gaps - not car specific - but as I understand it - they should work. ( http://www.densoiridium.com/sparkplugspecs.asp )

Oddly - the same IK20 in a volvo should be gapped at 0.028...

Go figure...???

Any 'tech' savvy individual want to comment?
