For you JDM fanatics here is C-One's shift cable bushings... I've already ordered my set from Kami Speed. Here is a picture and pm Billy Ono for a price.

The only thing I couldn't see the point of is that they are urethane, which still has the ability to be worn down as opposed to the metal used in the Speed Source bushings.

Yeah, I don't know either what they do for the steering rack.

I think they would just provide a more direct feel...kinda the same thing that the shifter cable ones do for the shifter feel. They would just enhance the overall steering feel by getting the "play" out of the stock bushings.

I don't know guys, but paying a premium for the JDM versions of these parts seems a little absurd. You can't even see them, especially the steering rack bushings. I can fully understand things you can see, but if you're worried about steering rack bushings, then you better not drive your car, because there will be hidden dirt that will detract from you at shows.

they are used to enhance steering feel... more feedback into the steering wheel...
I have seen those bushings before. The cable bushings.
C-One had these bushings available for some time who's durometer would obviously be harder than stock with I guess a steel inner core.
I was wondering.
With Japan having roads that are like race tracks compaired to the U.S. and C-One is a damn good company. Why would they go this route?
I have the full brass bushings also. Full metal bushings take out all the slop, but why would a company located with some of the best roads promoting race like parts for a Celica go with some sort of plastic on those bushings?
I'm sure C-One knows a plain solid metal disk would tighten up the shifts and be way cheaper to produce.
I'm just curious and await the feedback on those.
