I'm sure you guys have seen these badges before:

Beginer driver "wakaba" badge:
http://store1.yimg.com/I/jackadeal-store_1861_440855
In Japan, any driver who obtains drivers license within 1 year must show this badge/emblem on their vehicles. It's called "Shosinn-sha-emblem" in Japanese. Shosinn-sha means " Beginner or Starter" Another driver must give their ways even on the busy traffic.

Elder/advance driver "kareha" badge:
http://store1.yimg.com/I/jackadeal-store_1861_515502
This is an emblem for a driver with more experience in Japan and called a "Silver Mark". The driver must give their way to the vehicle on the road with this emblem by the traffic law.

I got mine when a friend of mine went to Japan. At that time he picked up the Hyper Rev #87, a pair of wakaba badges, and my JDM OEM color coordinate Toyota emblem. But you can get genuine wakaba/kareha badges from ebay but be careful as the real ones and only the real ones are reflective.

...actually, I'd rock it on my car as it is now, except I'd probably get flamed since my car has like nothing JDM....

The wakaba one looks cooler but I would hope that I could consider myself better than a beginner driver. I guess it could signify my beginner status in JDM tuning though... :)

Dude, there's not a badge made that can display your JDM prowness.

Where's your JDM parking sticker anyway? I'm surprised you don't have one of those.

Yes it's reflective, has that whole 3M reflective tint to it. I'm aware of the fake ones too, my younger cousin bought one, it was a flat non metallic color.

Those look weird. I dont think they would flow very well with a street car. Are these for show only? Maybe a car on display at an import show could get away with it, but If I saw that on the street I would think it was not very cool. Someone enlighten me on this I am curious.

^ Yes it's routinely for show here in the states, other then it's real purpose in Japan. Over here, it's about the whole " JDM " factor, it's basically a hate it or love it thing. Some people who go with a whole JDM themed car, would sport that, especially for shows.

Here's a revised one..hehehehe
for the very very "Wakaba" person...

Wakaba sticker (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jdm-beginner-driver-emblem-decal-wakaba-AE86-D1-Honda_W0QQitemZ8003318614QQcategoryZ50448QQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem)

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b312/hobdasimo/Wakaba_Decal/bumper85_1.jpg

4 big kanjis by 3 different colours pronounce as "Menkyo Toritate!" in Japanese. "Menkyo" means license and "Toritate does "just gotten !" Totally it says "I got my license today! ". Small red Japanese Katakanas do "Sorry so slowly, or Please, please go ahead!.. : )...Very ironic and attractive when applied on sports car ,drift car or Jdm! or American made vehicle too.

I bought my Wakaba badges (not this sticker) from this Ebay seller for $15.25 shipped
the real thing from Japan... a week deliver time...good seller and fast too..
