Ok, I have an 00 GTS and I am trying to decide on what body kit to put on it. The car origionally had the blitz kit (my "ricer" days) and I have decided that it is not at all what I want! My car has a beautifull paint job that took my step dad and I ALOT of time (we run a body shop) but unfortunately I have out grown it and I plan to get it painted the solid base color of silverstone metallic from an S2000 and maybe a two tone (black from bottom of windows up). I no longer have the blitz front because I just couldn't stand it anymore; I jumped in on a GB a whie ago and got a nice clean front lip from speednstylz. I was happy with the lip until I saw the c-one front lip for the '03+. Now I want that but I'll stick with mine for now. My question is this....which sides and rear do you think would look good with my front lip (see below) and then still look good with the c-one lip once I switch to that?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/mtskibum16/IMGP0686.jpg

I think the c-one rear would look really good with my current lip but I just can't get into the c-one sides. I also plan on the brashboy lip spoiler, c-one hood, trd fender flares, and a change in wheels, which brings me to my next question.

What wheels should I get? I know that I want bronze but I'm not sure on the wheel yet. I really like the Volk TE37. Is 5zigen considered "JDM"? I know that it is a Japanese wheel company but they are readily available from places like tires.com and there is a 5zigen usa so.... Anyways, I also really like the bronze 5zigen FN01R-C.

Anyways, sorry for the long post but I have been wanting to ask these questions for a while but I figured that I wouldn't get the answers I'm looking for in the appearance mod section. I guess my parts don't have to all be JDM but at least here you guys will have the taste in parts that I am looking for and I won't have to listen to "get the BC2 sidesskirts" all day long.

Edit: I will also have smoked headlights and taillights.

and full c-one lip kit.

and the brash boyspoiler.

Wow, your car is already on the road to improvement. I remember how it looked when you first got it all done and it looks way better now.

With that paint I think FN01R-c's in hyperblack would be nice. They don't come in gunmetal.

See the thing is, I like the quality of my paint job and the uniqueness (paint with no raised edge b/w colors instead of vinyl), but the main mods I want won't look good with my paint job (bronze wheels and c-one hood) plus to change to different sideskirts it will be almost as easy to paint the whole car (the sides are bonded on rather than screwed on and w/3m tape).

What sides/rear do you think?

BTW: Your car is what made me want that hood! Looks great!

Edit: I have been thinking Molly sides and rear(if I can find them for a resonable price) or c-one rear and molly sides.

Actually, my first choice would be to just get the whole Trial kit....

Are there any JDM interior mods such as shift boots, door panel inserts, etc, etc? I really want to upgrade my shift boot. I am thinking that I may just get the redlinegoods shift boot and e-brake boot with black leather and red stitching. They are EXCELLENT quality. My bro got a set for his Eclipse...good stuff.

I think the shift boots are the same. Here is an example:

I know that Canada received special edition TRD Celica's with color keyed interiors, but they only came in blue and red. From what I was told these parts were made available in Japan first. I tried searching the forums for a pic, but nothing came up. Maybe someone else can help out.

I would get the entire C-One lip kit. Part it together and don't put all on until you get all the peices. As for wheels consider the Wed Sports SA-90s by C-One. The choice of color obligates you to replicate C-One's race car. You will have a full C-One car if you do this. Here is a picture of the wheels/car.

as far as wheels go, depending on how "jdm" you want to go and how much money you're trying to spend, i 'd go for something more rare and on a higher level than the 5zigen FNO1RCs. i like those wheels but they're too standard looking. look into Work, Advan, Volks, Weds...and maybe something in gold?

the rims and rotors on that car are very sexy

I'm just not sure about those side skirts. I like the 03 lip and the rear is nice too but for some reason I just don't like the sides. Maybe if I got rid of the "groves" in the back of them. I was looking at those wheels the other day but I like the look of a 5 spoke (with a semi thin spoke like the FN01R) or a 6 spoke with a wider spoke. I also want bronze...I won't settle for anything else.

Due to the fact that I am not crazy about the entire c-one kit and I don't want to piece a kit together with unmatched components, I may just save up and try to find a full Trial V1 kit. That is my ultimate favorite kit by a mile!

Those are nice, but the size and offset available for our cars suck..

wtf how can it suck I thought WEDS sponsors a JGTC celica. You think they would make a wheel perfectly fit.

those celicas are far from being "celicas"...they're pure race machines. different engine, drivetrain, and widebody, if im not mistaken.

yeah but you think they make a wheel with specs that match our cars so that people who see the wedsport celica would want to buy some of those wheels from them for their celica. What kind of marketing is that.

well the widebody makes the spacing and offset totally different. I'm sure you could make them work if you wanted.

Someone is selling these in the for sale forum. 17x8 with a +32 offset. They will fit, but I have a feeling they may stick out a tiny bit from the fender. So I wouldn't chance it if your car is slammed.

+32 will work beautifully. That's what Chris is running on w/ his work Emotion. 17x8 +32

Hotness. Someone needs to buy those rims... now! Not only do they look nice, but the seller stated that they only weigh 11.5lbs a piece. 11.5 people! :faint:

What is the asking price? They are beautiful wheels but not quite what I'm looking for. They look like they'd be light as hell! 11.5 lbs is crazy!

He's asking for $1,200. One rim is slightly curbed. Here's the link to his thread:

http://newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=188139

11.5lbs is rediculously light for a 17" wheel. My 17's weigh in at 15.5 lbs.

15.5 isn't bad either though! God I need new wheels!!! Mine are like 21lbs each!

Ok, so here is my current dilema. I have come to the conclusion that I am very limited to what new mods I can do right now without knowing if I am going to keep my paint job or not. So here is the question:
Should I keep the paintjob and go with the black (solid black not polished lip) Black Racing N-1s or should I repaint my car to the base color (darkish silver) and go with the same wheel but in bronze. This doesn't have alot to do with JDM but it is the basis of the rest of my JDM parts so I think it belongs here. Thanks.
