Converting to Right Hand Drive

Has anyone done this yet? Ive been on these furoms for a year and I havent seen anyone try to make this work yet? Does anyone know where I can find the Jdm dash? That makes the cluster move over to the right side? Im gonna have to rewire stuff or get the jdm wiring harness Ill need new the plastics to the doors so the window controls will be on the right side now. It would be cool. If anyone knows where I can find the parts to do this setup please tell me the website I want to get this project started.ASAP :drool:

You'd be better off buying a car from Japan, than to even attempt this conversion. I think the money would be better spent on an AWD or RWD conversion. :chuckles:

i've done about 9 RHD conversions on 240sx and its alot of work to do this. if i do a converion on an 13 it starts at about 2400 depending on how much of the wiring and stuff you want me to do, i've never done a celica but i'll be the first to tell you getting the parts is next to impossible for the celica just b/c its no in demand to be imported and the wiring for the celica is nuts. for a full swap your prob looking at about 4000 plus to do it. but if you get all the parts i can do it for ya.

I always thought it would be awesome to get a complete front clip of a JDM celica, and just swap everything over, minus the engine unless you want to re wire the ecu, Erick you have a new mission, find a front clip and make history. hahaha.

You would have to get the JDM steering rack.

there is cutting and welding involved, but you'd never know when i'm done, you have to cut the fire walls out of each car and swap the jdm one into yours, then reweld it in smooth it out and seam seal it. and repaint. its a long process but worth it in the end. but the first thing that does need to be located is the steering rack. most important piece

Front clip!!! that's all you need, I put money that there's a front clip in Japan, Trial can probably get one, they ship full cars out of the country.

yeah but all you need is the fire wall and steering rack alot cheaper to ship then a whole front clip.

Front clip comes with the RHD dash, and sweet JDM AC control unit. :)

Eric, you need the Sport M projector headlamps. Whever I see those headlamps, I think JDM. That's what you need.

They have a car like that in a show at EuroDisney. It's now at MGM Studios in Florida, too.
