Alright im trying to install my header right now and I have 2 questions. First how do you get those spring loaded bolts thats on the end of the header off, I tried heating them and using WD40 but no luck, is there any trick to getting them off? And second is it normal for the studs to unscrew from the block that holds the header on when im taking off the nuts. 3 of them unscrewed off and others stayed on. I would just like a some help.

Try using air tools for the bolts.

I was able to get mine off with a breaker bar though.

When you removed some nuts the bolts broke off?

The spring loaded bolts do come off, with some effort. I don't know of any trick. As far as the flange side of the header, there are two studs, and three bolts. What you're doing is okay, the three bolts are supposed to come out.

Ah, I thought he meant the bolts broke off with the nuts, but I guess he didn't realize that some were actual bolts. :)

I used a torque wrench to remove them.

use a socket with extention and use a wrench on the end to turn it. put the bottom of the wrench ( the circle part) connect it to the socket wrench and use that as a cheater bar, That is how I did mine. Hope you can understand this.

yup. the only way i was able to get some of my buddies header bolts off was with a cheater pipe (without air tools anyway).

as far as the spring loaded bolts...you are trying to unscrew the BOLTS, right? because the nut is welded onto the flange which isn't gonna budge. you probably know that..just a headsup if you didn't.

Once I got some help here it made it a lot easier. Overall I would say 3 hours. I would say try and do it, it wasnt that hard at all its just working in the small space that was hard.

Yeah there are three bolts and two studs that hold the header in place.
