Knock Sensor (Knock Control System)
By detecting high frequency vibrations that are early signs of pinging (pre-ignition) or knocking, a computerized engine control can retard the spark timing until the knock ceases. This allows an engine to take advantage of a high compression ratio (for more power) while reducing the risk of damage from hot weather, increased engine loads or lower grades of gasoline.

The computer only reads the knock sensor's output when medium to heavy loads...At idle it doesn't have anything to do with your ow idle.
Get your car checked..! At the Toyota shop..!
They'll adjust your idle circuit....

Mine idles at 600K. Its steady but the 2nd cam clacks like hell. ITS NORMAL. Its part of the high revving package. Its resting and waiting to be "cranked" into action. Do what my wife does. Turn up the stereo and the car sounds great. Sound? What Sound?

yeah mike, same thing. idles just barely above the first mark after 0.

haven't taken it to a dealer yet...try cleaning your MAF sensor with some electronics cleaner from radioshack. that smoothed mine out a little.

is that dealer on old country road? i go there too if it is. Westbury Toyota...bah. I need to go there to have them fix my belt tensioner but i'm afraid they'll give me **** cuz of my aem pulley...
