about 2 1/4 in the front and close to 3 in the rear right now.

I have 19x8 Axis Hagens with Eibach Sportline springs, no rubbing.

Just make sure you get the correct offset for the width you choose. 8x19 should have an offset of no higher than 30 to make it look good. 8.5x19 will also work with a 30 offset, but will ever so slightly rub in certain situations. So for sensitive people, a 35 offset is suggested if you're going for 8.5x19 ET30. But you have to be one of those guys who says "oh my god" and "you go girl" a lot to care.

8x19 works with a 215/225 tyre with a 35 profile. 8.5x19 works best with 235/35. Some will suggest a wider tyre "to protect the rims", but unless you're a 'tard or a woman, you probably know how to drive a car and don't need those baloon looking tyres. Also make sure to put the correct air pressure in the tyres to protect the rims (42psi).
