Ok my wifes celica has the belt tensioner problem with squeeling when its cold and or damp out. We took it to Fred Haas(etoyota) to have them look at it. They said they cant duplicate it and wont replace it. They said wait till its cold out again and bring it back. Helloooo we live in texas it wont be cold again for another 10 months, by then the car will be out of warrenty. So does anyone have any advice on getting them to change it??

Also the passenger side headlight gets water in it. They tried to duplicate it and couldnt but i can easily duplicate it by washing the car. Any adivce on getting them to change that also??

I had a minor dent on my front bumper corner, Toyota looked at it and said since there was a dent, that may cause the belt tensioner to fail, and they refused to fix it. I have sold my car and I am glad that I don't have to deal with them anymore.

It's STAR Toyota in Flushing, NYC.

I just recently had a problem with my belt tensioner and got it fixed. Now of course the one day it doesn't squeek is when I take it to the dealer but he said they would try to make it squeek. Hell if I know what they did but they got it to start messing up and replaced it. My dealer is cool, I have never had any problems with them whatsoever.

Next time I go up there I'll ask to see what they did to make it squeek, maybe that can help you

Checkered Flag? I can't remember the name of the one on Miliary, but their sales people were so bad I wouldn't consider going back for service.

I was happy w/ checkered, though.
