This is weird when I don't drive the car for one day the next day the battery seems to not be charged and the alarm sounds weak when I unlock the car. Also when starting up the car sometimes it has trouble.

I have a DVD headunit and screen but will that void my warranty when I go into the dealership to get it checked?

*eidt*

I came back from the dealership and they replaced my battery but they told me that my aftermarket stuff was draining the battery.

First off I only had 2 items which were a 7in LCD screen and a DVD unit. The only thing that stays on is the clock on the LCD screen which never goes off but I think it runs off a capacitor or even if so it wouldn't drain my battery in one day!

They probably couldn't find a good reason so they thought I had neons since I had switches left unused for a project I scrapped and started over but they weren't even wired just mounted. Even if I had neons they aren't on when the car is off.

They won't replace it under warranty next time but this time there was no charge. WTF were they looking for an excuse to not have me come back?

I wouldn't think so... but why go to the dealer for just a battery? If it's 4-5 yrs. old... then its time for a new one.

i had the same problem...my battery was dead...it wouldnt take charges from the alternator anymore...it was also an 04 battery...i had kragens check it and they said the alternator is fine it was giving out a 14w charge or something which is normal..they just said the battery wasnt taking anymore charges...so i got it replaced for 40$ with trade in.

Covered under warranty... go to the dealer... get it documented.

I heard that changing your headunit will void warranty as it did with my friend's Camry.

Do I need to put back on my stock unit or what?

Shouldn't affect battery warranty..... the factory battery.. besides the bumper-bumper warranty.... should carry it's own 5 or 6 yr. warranty.
