View Full Version : problem..can anyone help?!
the "light" which lights up when i pull the handbrake does not light anymore! (i am referring to the "light" in the instrument cluster which lights up when you have your handbrake pulled up... its located just above the gauge which indicates fuel level and engine temperature..). any suggestions?! thanks
First, does it light up when you turn the key to on, but haven't started? This is the lamp test. If that fails, its most likely a problem with the combo meter. If it does light up, then I'd check the switch on the e-brake.
hi, when i went to start the car today it worked perfectly. i guess the problem solve by itself. if it does it again i ll check the combo meter / e brake switch as you said. thanks a lot anyways for your help. thanks!
hi its me again... just for curiosity...in case it does it again, where are the combo meter and the e brake switch please?" thanks
The combo meter is where your dash gauges & lights are. The e-brake switch would be under the center console and attached to the (I believe) base of the e-brake. More than likely something just dropped down into the e-brake area & was messing up the switch.... I've had that happen before on other Toyos.
thanks a lot. i really appreciate you help. thanks agian and have an awesome weekend!
