Alpine made thier TypeRs like little subs. I was wondering if anyone tryed putting the components in. If so did they have to use spacers or special cutting?

Thanks

you obtain a bracket, either diy with mdf, or buy some plastic ones. half an inch mdf would suffice. youre not gonna run into any trouble with fitment unless they are deeper than 3.5" the only woofers i know that are deeper than that are RE's XXX mids, which are 3 5/8" and its been hell trying to get them to fit. also when you fit them, have your window down, so you know they wont catch the wiring.

ive got that set and they're nice. the door speakers stick out a lil bit though..the door panel kinda is "bulged" with them installed. they sound great though and crank nicely. I used the little brackets that came with them and they fit the stock holes prefectly
