well im getting ready to purchase the c2 stage 1 for my 2000 gt-s 6spd but there is one thing that is holding me back....i have never tuned a car and there is no place to dyno at where i live....i know tuning the car is very important and can make the difference in reliability and life time of your engine so its not something that i wanna just play around with....so is it that hard to get the hang of it?...would i be able to have somebody with the same car as me giving me the numbers and it would work on mine or is every car a little different?...by the way im getting the pfc instead of e-manage...so if u guys can help me out i would appreciate it

well if I were you, I would drive somewhere that can dyno it and tune it proffessionally. You already said it is not something you want to mess up. If you have never done it before. than that gives you the answer. imo. I myself would do that just so I dont mess up my car. But if you dont want to do that then I am sure people here can help you. Goodluck.
Also when you do get it tuned, post the gains and stuff. I am thinking of getting this kit for my gt in about 6 months.:)

see if anyone else on the board has the same setup as you do...there are quite a few C2 owners here...get the same map from them and run it....as long as you have pretty much the same setups then you will be ok...

Tuning is not easy and I would only BUY a gts kit (even from us ;)) if that bogging problem is cleared. I asume thats a tuning related issue too and if so many have problem then why would you be the olny that will not...

Assuming that we can solve the bogging problem and prove that a Power FC can fix it, there is a Power Excel shop (certified PFC tuner with proprietary A'PEXi software) in Baltimore you can use provided you have a good base map to get you there. If you are way on the west end of the state, Monkeywrench in Detroit is not a ridiculously far drive.

Do you think I will still have bogging problems and problems above 6000 RPM ,with a built bottem end and 8:8:1 compression ???? I was kinda thinking alot of these problems were due to the OEM high compression . Will tuning be harder or easier for me on my GTS (custom GT28RS kit, with greddy emange)???
