For any questions please post in this thread about this group buy. I don't want to congest the Group Buy forum...
We only need 35 orders for the underpanel for this price, the others don't have to be met..
I think you are going to have a hard time with 35 people for one item to go thrue, you might want to change it (if you can ) to a combined total of 35 poeple. I might be interested in the rear strut bar, if it's the 3 point one!

I was under the impression that the front strut tower bar will not fit usdm models because the brake/clutch fluid reservoir is on the left side.

I mounted the C-One bar on my car and it fit snugly. The only real problem I had was that the stock battery was a little too close for comfort. I plan to get an Optima battery soon to replace it with.

Strut bars are used to make the chasis more ridgid... sway bars are used to reduce body roll... but the strut bar will help.

Do you guys have crash bolts for the front installed for negative camber? I'm asking because I have crash bolts installed for autox and recently when I put on the c-one front strut bar, there was a lot of flex/bending. Inputs as to what caused the bending, in my opinion to be quite extreme.

the underpanel does in no way connect to the bumper... you can use any bumper. It includes brackets that attatch to the subframe of the car... I can answer technical questions on this thread and Rey_Vibora can give you shipping details in the actual group buy thread... please post there and he will answer shipping option questions.

Ok I wasn't sure about the post so I posted it both places.
As for the strut bar, how do you like it Eric? I'm sure the quality and fittment are great right? Is the smaller battery absolutely necessary to make this work or is it just ideal?
Next question, what happens with the wheel-well plastics since they usually connect to the underbody plastics? Do you still use them?
Rey_Vibora

Yes my strut bar is bent (nice curve to it).
We have never had such problems, nor has C-ONE or Beatrush with their race-built Celicas. Flexing on the struts are possible due to the manufacturing of the bar; this is such so that under extreme competion it can relieve the tension between the struts and not snap or brake like others. However, nothing as a curve or bending. I suggest getting some upper pillowmounts, instead of the crash bolts and play around with the camber, to best fit your setup.

I love the Beatrush strut bar. i used to have the Tanabe one and the Beatrush just out does it in construction, performance, and looks. As far as the smaller battery goes it just makes it easier and if your already in the market for a new battery go for the smaller one. The Beatrush bars come w/ a smaller battery tie down (unless this has changed). As for the underpanedl I have removed all the plastics except the fender well linings. If you have any other questions as I own a majority of the parts we're selling please feel free to post here.
Happy shopping,
Eric

So you kept the fender-well linings? Did you keep the part that connects to the front of them that are horizontal and connect to the front bumper? Or do you just have the fender-well linings? Any pics? The reason I ask is that mine are all torn up and on the horizontal section the holes for bolting it to the bumper have torn through. I want to keep the fender-well linings but I wasn't sure if they would stay connected sturdy enough without those horizontal pieces.

Yeah, I'm going to need to know this info too. I want to keep my fender liners, but I'm wondering how they stay attached without the middle plastic pieces. I'm not even sure about this horizontal piece you're talking about. This is one of those situations where a pic would really help clear the air. :chuckles:

What is the difference in the Beatrush rear strut bar vs. the TRD bar?? They look almost identical to me. Am I missing something?? I am curious because you can get teh TRD bar for $130 vs. nearly $300 for what appears to be the same thing. However, after my coilovers I am not sure I want any more TRD stuff LOL so, but I am still curious about the difference in the bars.

The beatrush rear bar like the TRD is 3 point but that's the only thing they have in common. The beatrush is thicker construction, has better mounting points, you don't have to drill into the car, and the Beatrush can be made a 2 point bar.

I cut the horizontal part that attactches to the front bumper as it would not reach the lower part of my Trial front. It is your preference what you do w/ the plastics but I will tell you that I highly recommend you retain some portions of your fender well liner as you will have a mess on your door on rainy days...

It won't rust, it's made of alluminum.
You don't need any of your stock underpanels, it attaches to the frame of the car
For oil changes it requires removing 4-6 bolts, and it's a snap.

All the vertical pieces do is block off the front of the fender well. This isn't really adding any protection. The whole point of the aluminum underpanel is to add a more significant cooling effect and to provide superior protection to the underside of the car. It also makes it much easier to do oil changes and best of all IT WONT WEAR OUT!!! The stock plastics WILL eventually wear out and then you will have NO protection under your car. I haven't been able to come up with any cons to this underpanel compared to the stock plastic POSs. I hate those things!
