am i able to beat a bmw 530i with my mods on GTS?
which one is going to be faster, a boxster or the bmw 530i?

Id say the boxter will be quicker, simply cos its got around same BHP (im guessing here) as the BMW and doesnt weigh as much. You could probably beat both if the drivers sucked :)

The reason I ask is that I just raced 5 series either 530i or 540i from a dead stop. It was leading the way by 1 1/2 car length. At lift I was behind 1/2 car length but could not catch up. It ended with me being 1/2 car length behind. But I was thinking it had to be 540i since 530i is 3500lbs and only 225hp, surely I can beat it with my GTS. Anyone race any of these beamers?

It must not have been a 540 because they have a 282hp V8

I checked the 1/4 mile for the BMW 530i it was in the low 15s.
GTS i/e combo are alot quicker than some people think. I came across a mustang GT and Cobra, mustang was about even from a stop w/ no launching, although if on a roll, I don't stand a chance.
The cobra, I couldn't catch up but was not a whole lot quicker.

the hell where u thinking(no offence).......a M3...:nono: :nono: ......the new ones run mid to low 13's STOCK.....and w/ a few $....12'z......unless u raced the 2.7liter one's which are slower...if i'm not mistaken

i had to race him he was revving his engine and flashing his high beam. i dont wanna walk away from him.
