Basically, what got you here?
Here's where my butt has sat since getting my license back in '89.
85 Dodge Turismo [light and quick for a cheap car - hatch and cargo space great for relations with women ;) ]
88 Pontiac Grand Am [good engine-otherwise, nothing remarkable]
96 Chevy Z-24 [worst dealer experience ever-got rid of it after 7800 miles when they refused to paint a hood that was scratched noticeably after transfer from a dealer in NJ]
97 Toyota 4-Runner [neighbor had one - one ride sold me]
00 Toyota Celica GTS [love it, but will miss 4Runner in January snow]
93 camry le
98 accord v6 coupe ex

Damn, 8 domestics followed by a Celica. That's a story all by itself. Be thankful you survived with the '84 Camaro at 16. I'm not sure I would have. At that time, my Turismo was driving 100 in a 55 on Rt. 209 to Pottsville (home of Yuengling Beer) when I was hit with my first ticket. With the extra HP in your '84, I would've been driving much faster, more often and would've lost my license by age 16.5.

Yep, I would give anything to have it back. I bought it in '85, when I was 17, for $500 w/o an engine, and dropped the 350 and tranny out of the Monte Carlo in it. It sat really high in the front, 'cause of the big block coil springs, but looked really cool. Later had the engine bored and blueprinted. Ended up selling it for $800 to a friend in the Navy in '89.

Hmmm, wonder what my list looks like:
1976 Honda Civic (never drove -- died while sitting waiting for me to turn 16)
1980 Honda Civic Hatchback (my first car)
1984 Nissan Sentra XE Hatchback (ooooh, an XE)
1990 Geo Storm (hey, it was cool at the time -- it had an airbag)
1988 Toyota MR2 (awesome car -- should never have trade it in)
1993 Honda Accord EX (didn't like the family car)
1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 (nice truck, but had to sell)
1988 Toyota MR2 Supercharged (awesome car, but driven hard and had engine problems at 212k)
1987 Toyota MR2 (bought it cheap, but too many problem, so I sold it a month later)
1990 Honda Civic
2000 Toyota Celica GT-S automatic (yeah, automatic, see below)
1987 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4 (which is funny cause it has NO options -- I thought XLT's were loaded) I still have this one.
2000 Toyota Celica GT-S 6-speed (not a bad car, but I wanted more.)
2001 Ford SVT F150 Lightning (a kick-a$$ awesome truck BTW) :D
So although I'm a really BIG fan of Japanese technology and quality and have predominately picked them for my cars/trucks -- I currently own 2 Fords. Go figure!

1st car was a 1976 Pinto station wagon (this was in the mid 90's) that at some point had been baby blue, but now was rust with specs of blue thrown in. It had holes in the floor on the passenger side...you could actually see the road moving below you LOL
Then from 1/1997 to 11/2000 I had a 1993 Toyota Tercel 2 door 4 speed manual.

The MR2 was a favorite of mine in the late 80's. I would've traded mine in for my high school car, an '85 Turismo, any day. Yes, the Lightning can scoot, but I can appreciate your run on MR2's back in the day.

I was supposed to buy another S/C one last year, but it turned out not to be in the condition described (right Jake :) ).
I'm a sucker for the MK1's though -- I'd buy another one in a second if I see a decent one around here for sale. :D
