Are these sri intakes on ebay worth a crap. I found a INJEN one for 65 I think. The others are no name ones that are like 25 bucks. Are they worth anything. There is one company that is called evolution or something like that. They have star seller rating. Theirs was only about 10 bucks plus 25 shipping.

by a no name one. they will work the same, and its a lot cheaper. why not get a generic cold air? the gains are a lot better, and the ones on ebay are usually the aem replica ones.

Can one of you guys go to ebay and find one to show me for example. There are a ton on there. Are those filters worth a crap or do you buy a k&n replacement or something??? I looked on there and there are a ton of them. I have no idea what to look for.

go with authentic if you dont want a constant check engine light...sri is not bad i like mine, sounds sick at high rpms

Ah that would get annoying. Why does that happen??? What is the difference that would make the SES light come on.

dont worry about hydrolocking. only way it would hydrolock is if the filter is actually submerged into water.

Does this check engine light thing happen though. Is that a problem with no name cai's???

almost all aftermarket intakes for the celica cause cel's, do a search on the ebay ones, bluebatmobile has a mod that corrects the cel and bogging.
I'm thinkin about doin it myself

I thought CEL lights usually only came on after you replace the intake for the first start of the car? I thought usually it was because the computer that controls all of that needed to be reset, or to figure out the new air amounts flowing through it. Though usually what I found was easiest was to just disconnect the negative on the battery for about 5 minutes so the computer resets itself. Worked on my last car, might be worth a shot.
