Has anyone seen the boost cooler setup?its a water/methanol injector system,can it be used in celica's? what would be the performance gain?2001 gt ...

the performance gain is the ability to run more boost safely.

same as race gas.

but can you just run it to cool the throttle body or as a spray like nos???

you might as well a full CRYO2 system, cool down the incoming fuel, the intake charge, and if you have a turbo or SC cool the intercooler, then vent it for show. or if you dont hvae forced induction just vent it after the intake charge. it might end up saving you money, maybe.

The purpose of water/methanol injection is to prevent knock/predetention acts like the octane in the gasoline. So you can A: run more boost/compression or B: use lower octane gasoline. You have to use a very fine mist so the droplets quickly absorbs the heat and if you spray before the turbo/super charger so the water droplets won't damage it. Just make sure that the washer fluid is a methanol mix or you will spend money on something that you can get cheaper. Cost would be far less than Cryo, as you can buy a bottle of windshield washer from the store, good idea if you live in a area that will freeze or if you want to you can just use plain straight water just be carfull in cold weather.
