I have a few question regarding the supercharger:
1.) how many of you are actually gonna get it?
2.) for those of you who are gonna get it, how much roughly are you looking at?
3.) since i know a few importers, getting one is not the problem (but paying for it), where are you guys gonna get it from???
4.) As I understand after getting the supercharger you still have to get a bunch of guages, ECUs, and all the other stuff that would run about the total of a 7,000 USD? Is that correct??

I am 70% sure that I'm getting it in the next 2-3 months. Waiting on some details that I'll need to make up my mind from Blitz distrubutor and local traffic authorities.

Qouted from a Australian Blitz Distrubutor for $11,000 AUD ( $5500 USD Air shiped from Japan to Australia). I'd gestimate It'll cost $4500-5000 USD in US market due to larger size of market.

Blitz Access ECU is supplied in the kit.

Other things that are needed are stronger clutch( $500 USD), LSD ($1000 USD), better brakes($500-2000 USD) and suspension ($1000-15000 USD) to make most of the power and keep the car safe.

Gauges wise, I'd get a fuel pressure, EGT, oil temp and oil pressure gauge. As I already have water temp, injector duty cycle and volts display etc feaure in my FC Commander.

You'll also need to factor in labour charges for installation. Reccommended time for installtion is 8 hours not including dyno tuning time for the new ECU.

thx M-spec that is very helpful. Please tell me if you got any good hook ups for it.

Price is a HUGE issue. Blitz has NOT set official pricing in the US yet. In England, the supercharger sells for $7,000+ (if you convert from pounds to dollars). In Japan, it sells for $4,500 (if you convert from yen to dollars). If it is overpriced in the US like it is in England, then it is important that we find someone who can buy and import the damn thing from Japan directly.

Any details about what the Blitz ECU controls?
Is it as good as most aftermarket ECU's where it can control rev limit, A:F, etc?

$4500 is more realistic then 5k+ obviously. I would prefer a price in the US from 3500 - 4500.... otherwise there is no way i'm going to buy one

I don't know if this has already been answered in previous posts, but here goes.

1. Does anyone know as yet what the *exact* contents of the kit are going to be?

2. Does the kit include anything to lower compression or will it be running standard?

3. What sort of boost will the s/c be pushing?

I've seen some seriously big problems with people s/c'ing and turbo'ing naturally aspirated vehicles before, but never have I first hand experienced such an attempt on a car with an rather high compression ratio. But the h/p gains.. and the thought of boost on lift at 6000rpm... it's enough to give any celica owner wood :)

mspec.. just a thought... how are you gonna use the powerfc and the blitz ecu at the same time?

Hmmm....dunno if I'm going to guy one. I want to. I have money. But is it worth it? I think the price tag is wayyyy to high if it is going to be 6 or 7k. I dunno tho....the thought of lift on boost is rather....intoxicating

what kinda hp and torque we talkin about here?
7k seems like an awful lot for about 50-60 hp if that is all it is gonna boost it.

Install cost? Unless it's got internals, it's practically bolt on...gettin tired of some peeps that want performance mods but dont wanna take the time to learn how to mod the car! After dropping another whole motor into my Celica, and taking apart and putting back together completely my old motor, this car isn't hard to work on..just a pain in the ass sometimes. Cost will be the only factor for me..gauges and such, I got great hookups on...

I'm 90% sure I am going to get the Blitz.

I was planning on getting it as soon as it came out, but I decided not to get any forced induction for my Celica this summer. This seems like the summer to watch because several companies seem like they are going to release some form of FI this season. I really like the Blitz and all the stuff that comes with it seems to make it seem like it would be really reliable(intercooler, ECU, it seems like a lot of R&D went into it), but I don't want to limit my options when all this stuff seems like it is going to come out soon.

I am more interested in a SC than I am a turbo charger.

I don't care what the cost is, whatever FI I decide to go with is going to be the most important power builder I put on my car. I want the best.

I'm going to wait and see what happens, then when I get my car out of storage next summer I will buy FI.

i still never got any response from them... even with Intercooler and ECU i'm gonna still ? the reliability of the engine moreso than the kit... if this engine is as strong as my mechanics claim (full cradel design, etc, but not as strong as the 2JZ-GTE though of course) then i'll move onto the next issue... the other issue is the tranny...i've had this replaced once, and don't want to again...

00CericaRuss, I'm planning to use the Power FC instead of the Blitz Acess ECU and buy the Blitz kit, minus the ECU.
