Yes. In fact my significant other (wife) who has decided to move out, and seize my Celica also wants to sell it. I am so ****ING pissed off right now. So here I am with a nice car that I pay for every month, can't drive it, emotionally crushed, and now she wants to **** things up even more and sell the god damn ****ing car!
OH, I just got a new clutch, and tranny installed under warranty, so I was hoping to bust out some 14.3's but NOOO.. that is not going to happen when the wife is being this way. I think I wan't to severely beat her boyfriend. Maybe even hire Tonya Harding to break his friggin knees.

Yes, SHE lets me drive it occasionally when she's feeling generous!:D :D :D
I even got to drive it on two AX fun runs!

I actually let my mom drive my Celica, and its a GT-S 6-speed. She doesn't like driving it, though because it annoys her to have me remind her to be extremely careful with it and not pull into parking spaces too far because its lowered, not park by people who will open doors into it... My dad and my brother have driven it a couple times as well.

Nope. She doesn't know how to drive stick, and she has no interest in learning, just the way I like it. :)

My significant other has driven my car twice. First time, I said here I'll let you feel what a real car is like and second he was working on my car while I was out on the town. :)
My wife does, I taught her well with my last car. She even takes the curves hard sometimes. Won't hold her gears out though.

phaqgm: Dude, that's EVIL!!! If the car is in your name though, you should be able to get it back.
As for letting my better half drive my car. No. Not even if she knew how to drive a stick. I have let only 2 ppl drive my car. One because he may be getting an s2000 in the near future and promised me I could drive that and the other drives a camaro SS 6-speed and I have known him since kindergarden.

Sorry to hear about that Phaqgm. I hope I don'ty have to go through that.
But I have left my wife drive the beast once in a while. She doesn't like to drive it since I am so paranoid about it. She has beat a Dodge Neon street racing in it one night. She shifted at 6750 cause she was scared to redline it. LOL She still won by a few lenghts.

My significant other lets me drive her Celi :D. I'm trying to teach her stick so she can drive my car, but she gets too nervous. Hey at least I tried. :D

She can drive the Toyota Yaris, the celica 1986 and the celica 1992, but never the celica 2000

My girl twice & my sister once. It really makes me nervous but they bugged me. I don't trust anyone w/ something so valuable to me. I love my celica.

Yes she (wife) drives it occasionally. She knows how protective I am about it so she doesn't ask or want to drive it more often. It makes her nervous anyways, especially if I am in the car. We usually only trade vehicles when her's has go to into the shop.
She only once took it on a whim and didn't tell me about it until later. "It was a sun roof kind of day, so I took your car." No damage done so I wasn't angry.

Yea, I let her but she is really lazy about driving, and tires out easily. She also knows how much I baby it and is scared that she will break something so she has only driven it a couple times when I first got my rims and I wanted to see how they looked in motion. :D
PS THats sucks phaqgm

I tried teaching my gf to drive stick in my GT-S, but after a few times burning the clutch, I decided to switch her to my parents' car...

Yeah I let my GF try driving the Celi for the first time a couple weeks ago. She has never drove standard before and I want to teach her since she wants her first car to be a stick. I just made sure I explained to her the whole concept of either having the clutch all the way in or all the way out and smooth shifts. She did surprisingly well for her first time, and just needs to practise her 1st gear. She knows its my baby though and is 'very' careful.

I would if she knew how to drive a stick. She won't be practicing on my baby to learn though. Actually, maybe I should try and show her. Maybe that way, she can do some of the driving wherever we go.

I have no problem with my girlfriend driving either of my cars. She's been driving a manual transmission for a while and currently owns a car with one. She's got Mercury Mystique, so it's a little more comfortable to take on trips and such. So, I'm usually driving her car rather than her driving mine. She has driven each of my cars once. I'm going to teach her how to race the Type R next year.

Yeah I let my gf drive it once. I had to convince her to drive it because it was fun, she wanted to at first until she found out how paranoid I was but she did drive it and did well for her first time. I would let her drive it again. She wants to drive it all the time now!

i let my mother drive it once, and she had a hard time getting it in the right gear. example: started in 4th. stop got it in 1st, then shifted to 3rd. and then stop and asked me to drive back. she likes the car alot but say the gears are just a little to close for her, but if she had time and wasnt scared to drive it she could get used to it. but after that drive my brother and rest of the family dont wanna drive, they just love to ride when i push it to lift.:)
I don't have a significant other:(

My wife has a civic, no kit. I'm just worried about her scraping the bottom of my kit, especially through speed bumps, she takes those fast:eek: .

My mother wanted to drive the Type R this weekend, so I let her. We just made a little trip down the freeway. She offered to let me drive her CLK430, and I did. But I've driven that car before, and don't find it too much fun. With the top down, it's not bad.

I tried teaching my g/f how to drive stick and I was in major pain.. But after she got her car, VW Jetta VR6 manual, she learned on it.. Now she drives stick really well and I let her take my car whenever she really needs it. She says that everytime she drives my car she gets hit up to race.. hahaha.. but that never happens to me!!!

Same thing here man. She tries to make me feel bad about not letting her drive it but all I have to do is remind her of all the axles and wheels I've replaced on her car from her hitting every pot hole and curb in town, that shut her up for a while.
To get her to stop giving me a hard time about it I bought her a 2002 Toyota Highlander on 11/24. That'll keep her quite for a while, I hope. :p
